Me gustó la trama. Ciertamente hay situaciones que se pueden presentar en nuestra vida que nos podrían a ayudar, ya sea a cambiar, mejorar o redireccionar nuestras circunstancias.
Carlota y Nico se conocen durante la despedida de soltera de ella. Carlota ya tenía dudas respecto a su inminente matrimonio pero no daba el paso por complacer a los demás, dejando de lado su propio deseo. Lo que sucede con Nico, después de tomar la decisión de dejarse llevar, no son sólo más que mejoras en su existencia. El personaje de Nico es muy lindo, pero hay unas partes donde vas a desear pasarte todas esas hojas por el desespero que te entra con su reacción. Ya me entenderás...
La verdad la novela tiene buen desarrollo y la escritora cuida mucho el lenguaje, sólo que hay mucha narración, ¿será que soy más de diálogos?, hay separaciones y mucho espacio de tiempo entre una y otra. Por lo demás, es recomendable.

Many geophysical and astrophysical flows are dominated by the effects of body forces, such as buoyancy, Coriolis and Lorentz forces. Moreover, certain large-scale flows are approximately two-dimensional and this has led to a concerted investigation of two-dimensional turbulence over the last few years. Both the influence of body forces and two-dimensional turbulence are discussed.

Excellent Book

This book is really great! The complex things in turbulence are explained in that way I've never seen it before. There are a lot of great figures that are explaining a lot of things - for example, vorticity dynamics is followed with great pictures. Main topic of this book is physical aspect of turbulence, and that's great.

If you're dealing (better to say coping) with turbulence in some way, you should have this book - specially if you're a novice in this area.

This text is well-written and presents a lot of advanced material in relatively short order. However, the mathematics involved are quite advanced and the book is certainly intended only for people with some background in fluids - it is far from an "introductory" text!

I would regard this book as one of the "bibles" of Turbulence.

There is the paradox that the sheer comprehensiveness of this work reminds us all that there is, as yet, still no overall Theory of Turbulence.

As Davidson says in the Preface:-

"Turbulence holds a unique place in the field of classical mechanics. Despite the fact that the governing equations have been known since 1845, there is still surprisingly little we can predict with relative certainty. The situation is reminiscent of the state of electromagnetism before it was transformed by Faraday and Maxwell."

Great practical tips for people on the road to success--and a fun read!

I read and loved an earlier edition of this book, so I went and got the new paperback version for a young cousin of mine just entering the job market. I see that material has been added on how to stretch a dollar and still look like you spent a lot on your wardrobe--great advice for dollar-pinched newbie. References to stores have been updated, so the info is current. There are lots of useful tips—beauty remedies you can mix in your bathtub, how to find your power color, and how to make a positive first impression, among other things. I think the added material on how to avoid bargains that aren’t really bargains at all, is particularly useful.

One of the great things about Vicky Oliver’s books is that they are fun to read as well as informative. You feel you are in the hands of a knowledgeable guide. And there are lots of witty touches that I enjoyed. Need to look successful before you have arrived? Vicky Oliver can help you. Want to mix and mingle comfortably in an upscale milieu? She can help you there too. Get this book and you will learn a lot, and be entertained at the same time. Highly recommended.

Loved the Fun and Frugal Dressing Tips!

I'm a bit challenged in the wardrobe department, so when I got my new job I kind of panicked. How was I going to look corporate and classy on my measly clothing budget? I absolutely LOVED Vicky Oliver's quick and easy tips to look great without spending a fortune. I invested in a great haircut and found my "power color." Just those two changes turned heads.

A very good, readable book that helped me see all the varieties of soups that are simple to make

I had no idea that there are (at least) 15 types of cold soups, and at least 20 varieties of pureed soups, in addition to stews, stock, pasta soups, seafood, chicken, and meat soups... Soup & Comfort, a Cookbook of Homemade Recipes to Warm the Soul is a fitting title. I'm partial to cream soups on a chilly night, and soup surely warms my soul on nights like that

The author has included gluten free recipes, as well as how to make non-gluten free recipes in this book into gluten free dishes. That is an unexpected delight, as I try to stay away from gluten when possible. There are also vegan dishes, as well as low-sodium dishes, too. There is also a food substitution inclusion which is helpful for me in particular because I do not drink wine. It's nice to see a cookbook that’s useful for several types of people with eating restrictions, and also include recipes with that old, homemade style.

The author also includes at the end of the book ideas for salads, sandwiches, and soup toppings. This book seems to cover many different topics (food allergies and intolerances, sodium levels, non-meat eaters, and creating a meal around soup.

I am not a fan of using a lot of ingredients when I cook. Luckily, my favorite soup, shrimp bisque was easy to prepare, and tasted great.

Soup and Comfort delicious recipes!!!

Pamela Ellegen makes every recipes sound delicious and mouthwatering. I have made chicken broth by using broth from my chicken soup. I tried the roasted chicken broth recipe and it is truly a delicious. This book has a little of everything. Soups, salads and sandwiches, staples of mostly everyone. The recipes are well written and easy to follow. I live in warm weather most of the year, but the few cold days we get, I will be trying other soups. I also tried the caprese panini, absolutely delicious. I like that it tells you how to store broths and leftovers. It tells you how long they last frozen or refrigerated. I would recommend this book to experienced and cooks just starting out.

Good for foodies and others with time to prepare meals, not rushed families

I enjoyed this book and several of the recipes contained within. Due to health issues and food allergies in my own family I find that I tend to cook from scratch more often than I buy pre-made foods. In the winter months I tend to utilize soup recipes because they are generally not labor intensive and can be very filling during the cold night in the north eastern part of the United States. While many of the recipes contained within add a unique twist to an old but good dish, I felt that many of the soups were very labor intensive. I am a working mom and while I would love to have more time to devote to cooking, I need to have dinner on the table at a reasonable time. While some recipes had crock-pot/slow cooker directions others did not. I wish that the author had included more soups that could be made in this manner to appeal to families where the family cook needs to be able to set dinner to cook while taking care of the home or even working.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more soup recipes and who has ample time in the kitchen to prepare food. While some of the soups are family/child friendly others are not, and I say this from the perspective of having kids that will eat just about anything placed in front of them. I also wish that less soups had cilantro in them. For myself and many people, cilantro tastes like soap and it can ruin and otherwise good dish.
